Join Aimee Takaya for a series of Somatic movement classes designed to debunk the myth of aging. Be empowered to age gracefully, regain mobility or simply address and prevent common ailments such as stiffness, low back pain and poor posture through gentle, relaxing movement. 

  • learn to release patterns of stress and muscle contraction associated with our “natural” aging process

  • create balanced, easy posture and peaceful mindset.

  • discover how your brain habituates movement and how you can use this understanding to liberate your joints from pressure and muscles from unnecessary fatigue.

  • increase flexibility and strength while relaxing and resting your nervous system.

  • explore and develop your somatic awareness and increase connection, sensitivity and volition within your body.

  • Promote integration between right and left hemispheres of the brain and expand your internal landscape.

Aimee is a yoga teacher and in training to be a Somatic Educator in the tradition of Thomas Hanna at The Novato Institute.
