In this vinyasa flow class, students will explore their relationship with food, body, and mind by using the power of breath linked with empowering and playful movement. There will be a balance of flow and longer holds to provide the opportunity for playful self-expression, as well as deeper introspection. Kristia will be introducing the concept of working with the Chakras through the lens of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs as a way to invite healing into our relationship with food, body, and mind.

Claremont Yoga is proud to partner with Bright Road Recovery to offer this free class to the community. This class is beginner-friendly and all levels are warmly welcomed!

After serving our community for over eight years, Claremont Yoga is proud to offer our Yoga Alliance 200 Hour Teacher Training Program. Our course offers students a strong foundation from which to share their love of yoga competently and confidently, through in-depth study and guidance. 

This is a 8-session, weekend training to deepen your practice and certify you to teach Yoga with a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification.

 We have two yoga studios and offer a variety of classes 7 days a week - Vinyasa Flow, Iyengar, Restorative, Prenatal, Kids, Power, Pilates Mat, and other styles of Hatha Yoga - for Beginners to Advanced Levels.

Entrainment [synchronizing vibrations] is a principle found throughout science and sociology, and explains events ranging from foot-tapping to a beat, to aligning with the day/night cycle. This workshop focuses on the Feminine, discussing how we naturally sync with others and our environment [including lunar cycles and heightened empathy], and offers practical exercises for clearing and strengthening our vibration, including visualizations, breath and toning. Understanding this fundamental concept reveals how we get pulled from Self, helping to recognize imbalance early so centering techniques can be applied.

These gentle classes inspired by the Sivananda Yoga tradition have a gentle integrative approach to Yoga with the aim to create a meditative state while exercising and nourishing your body with gentle movements in order to enhance range of motion, strengthen and tone the muscles, joints and connective tissues. Suitable for all levels, whether new to Yoga, working through illness and injury, or simply in need of a time out from a more intense class. The classes consist of instruction in basic yoga postures (asanas), breath awareness, and deep relaxation.

SELF-COMPASSION

WORKSHOP SERIES

Most of us are our own harshest critic. How can we move more toward self-compassion and away from self-criticism in our daily lives? Register for one or all three sessions to learn more about the nature of the mind and how to make "it" an ally rather than an enemy. Vanessa Kettering, PhD will lead the group through a series of exercises and meditations based on the new science of positive psychology designed to build mindfulness and self-awareness, primary pathways to self-compassion. Bring a journal, a willingness to learn, grow and connect, and an open mind.

TheThe Claremont Yoga mentorship program provides a unique, personal approach to continuing and evolving your yoga journey. Designed to go beyond your initial 200 hour training and give you the tools and confidence to deepen your understanding of the needs of variety of students (advanced, special conditions, prenatal, all-level classes).

We offer a flexible schedule for people with full lives and busy schedules. Over the course of 6 months, you will be guided through an in-depth study of asana practice, observation and teaching skills, and personal study. Creating your own intentions for the program, you will be paired with an experienced teacher who will challenge and support you to find your own voice as a teacher. READ MORE

Starting May 28 and continuing throughout the summer break, the Saturday morning Vinyasa I class will be family-friendly!  We invite all our practitioners to join us for an invigorating morning practice uniting body, breath, and motion.  If you are a parent, we invite you to bring children aged eight and above to give them a light and low-pressure introduction to Vinyasa practice.

Beginning with a gentle sequence of asana focused on releasing tension and connecting with energy centers, your body and senses will be opened to receive the benefits of sound on a deeper level. Against the backdrop of a group sound bath, you will experience personalized sound healing techniques with ancient Himalayan bowls and instruments. Bowls placed very near and on the person allow the physical and energetic body to resonate directly with them, syncing with their balancing vibrations and harmonic tones through the process of entrainment.
