Join Sandy for an 2:00 PM Beginning Mellow Flow followed by Yin at 3:15 AM.
A slower paced class combining movement and breath to help increase strength and flexibility, reduce stress and increase rejuvenation. Students will learn the basics of alignment in poses and prepare for more intermediate postures. Restorative poses are held longer for increased mobility and flexibility as well as calm the nervous system. Appropriate for beginners, more experienced students, those recovering from injury or prefer a more relaxed pace.
Yin yoga is a slow grounding style of Yoga where students hold floor based poses for longer periods – usually 3 to 5 minutes or more. Unlike active (Yang) styles that focus on muscles and movement. Yin works with the deeper layers of the body – like fascia, joints, and connected tissue – by staying still and allowing time.
